This 16.5 m curtain side semi trailer spreads long pallet loads over five air-suspended axles. Draw the curtain back for forklift loading along the full side, or open the double rear doors at a dock.
The trailer pairs a 16,500 mm curtain body with five rear axles on air suspension. The front of the floor is raised over the coupling and the main loading floor sits lower behind it. Side curtains are tensioned with buckles along the lower rail, and the double rear doors close with vertical locking bars. Curtains keep weather off the cargo but do not restrain it, so plan straps or blocking for every load. Sizes are reference figures from the general arrangement drawing; the approved production drawing is the final record.

Use the side to place pallets anywhere along the body, or the rear doors at a loading bay.
Release the buckles and draw the curtain back so a forklift can reach any point along the 16.5 m body. Re-tension the curtain after loading. The toolbox and reflective side guard sit below the curtain line.
Two rear doors close with vertical locking bars. Use them at a dock while the side curtain stays shut, and check the clear opening against your largest pallet.
Lower sideboards and horizontal rails can line the inside of the curtain body, as on an earlier CHENLU five-axle build. Tell us if your cargo needs them.
The five axles sit under the rear of the body with 1,310 mm between adjacent axle centres.
Air springs carry the chassis above the axles. A height-control valve admits or releases air to hold the set ride height as the load changes.

Each trailer starts with a layout of the chassis, the five axle positions and the curtain body. Steel plates are cut and fabricated into the two main beams, which are assembled with crossmembers and welded into the frame. The floor is fitted, weld areas are ground and edges cleaned before the surface finish, and the five-axle running gear and brake lines are installed. Final assembly adds the sideboards, body posts, rear doors and curtains.
Air suspension is shown on this trailer. If your fleet prefers other running gear or parts brands, choose from the options below; the final set is fixed on the approved drawing.
