50,000 Litre 5-Compartment Fuel Tanker Trailers for Congo
CHENLU Case Study | Destination: Congo | Product: fuel tanker semi trailer
At a glance: A customer in Congo ordered CHENLU fuel tanker semi trailers with a total volume of 50,000 litres in five separate compartments, for hauling gasoline, diesel and other liquid fuels for the oil and energy sector.
The requirement
The customer transports fuel for the oil and energy sector and needed to carry different fuels, such as gasoline and diesel, on the same trailer without mixing. That called for a large total volume divided into independent compartments.

Why five compartments
Separate compartments let one trip deliver different fuels, or measured drops to several filling stations, while keeping each product clean. Bulkheads between compartments also limit how far liquid can surge when the tank is partly empty, which helps stability. More compartments add valves and pipework, so the count should match the number of products and delivery points; five suited this customer’s operation.
Why a longer tank
CHENLU’s standard fuel tankers are 10,200-12,000 mm long and hold 40,000-50,000 litres. This order used a 16,500 mm build to reach the full 50,000 litres at a 3,850 mm overall height. Longer and larger tanks must still fit the destination’s length, height and axle-load limits, which are checked before production.
How much does a 50,000 litre load weigh?
At typical densities, 50,000 litres of diesel weighs about 42 tonnes, and the same volume of gasoline about 37 tonnes, before adding the trailer and tractor. For conversions to gallons and tonnes, see our fuel tanker capacity guide.
Need a similar fuel tanker?
CHENLU fuel tankers are available with a single compartment or 2 to 7 compartments, each hydrostatically tested to 5 psi (35 kPa), and carry a 2-year warranty. See the range on our tanker trailer page, or send us your fuel, volume and destination for a configuration and factory-direct quote.
