By the end of August 2023, SinotruK has actively responded to the national "Belt and Road" initiative, adhered to the development of going out, and walked out of a unique road of international development of Chinese brands by playing a combination of products, markets, channels and brands. At present, the share of SinotruK products in key markets such as sub-Saharan Africa and the Philippines exceeds 60%.
Up to now, more than 500,000 heavy trucks have been exported to countries along the "Belt and Road", helping the construction of major projects and becoming the trusted partner of customers along the road.
Liu Wei, member of the Party Committee and deputy general manager of Sinotruk Group, said that the international market is changing rapidly, and the industry competition continues to intensify. In order to win the opportunity, SinotruK strengthens the top-level planning and design, makes a good overall plan for market research and local layout, and focuses on the development needs of overseas markets, SinotruK speeds up the promotion of local manufacturing. Dozens of KD factories have been built in Nigeria, Kenya, Morocco, Uzbekistan and other countries and regions, and the overseas production capacity can achieve 10,000 units/year, effectively improving the product competitiveness and brand influence of Sinotruk in the local market. In the first half of this year, SinotruK exported more than 65,000 heavy trucks, an increase of 64% year-on-year. Zhongtong Bus received a one-time order of 1,000 buses, and the President of Kyrgyzstan personally attended the delivery ceremony of the bus to Zhongtong, which is the largest bus order of China in the countries along the "Belt and Road" this year.
